Ethel’s favorite activities include family time, walking, gardening, and cooking.
Ethel Henry brings over 26 years of experience as a certified Physician Assistant. She received her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 1989. Ethel grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in London, Kentucky and received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 1989. Ethel joined the United States Navy after graduation and practiced as a physician assistant, where she had the opportunity to participate in Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm serving as part of the staff of Fleet Hospital Five in Saudi Arabia. Upon fulfillment of her active duty commitment in 1992, she continued serving the medical needs of the active duty and their families as a civilian employee at Dam Neck Clinic (1993-1996) and Quantico Marine Corps Outpatient Clinic (1997-2000). In 2001, Ethel began working for a top ranked Internist/ Neurologist in Northern Virginia, where she continues to work on a limited basis providing care to retired military and their families. She has also worked for a top-ranked Northern Virginia Pediatrician in recent years.

Ethel has two daughters currently attending college at her alma mater. She lives in a small town in Fauquier County with her husband and three dogs. Ethel joined Virginia Family Medicine in 2016.
