Personal Interests

Natalie was born and raised in southeastern Michigan and currently lives in Oak Hill with her husband and their two sons. When she’s not working, she likes spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring culinary and wine creations.

Biography

Natalie Bernys, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant on the team of dedicated providers at Virginia Family Medicine. She holds her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. An energetic and driven individual, Natalie also served as class president at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan.

In her work at Virginia Family Medicine, Natalie specializes in diabetes, hypertension, and women’s health. She has extensive experience providing exceptional primary care services in both family practice and internal medicine settings and enjoys developing meaningful relationships with her patients. She is a strong advocate for preventive healthcare and works with her patients to help them develop and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Prior to joining the team at Virginia Family Medicine, Natalie worked as a sign language interpreter in Michigan, where she specialized in medical and higher-education settings. She’s fluent in American Sign Language and provides deaf patients at Virginia Family Medicine with personalized care that sidesteps the miscommunication and confidentiality issues that can arise when using an interpreter who’s not a part of the Virginia Family Medicine team.
