Elham Taheri, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Virginia Family Medicine’s location in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as both of its locations in Vienna, Virginia. Her specialties include weight loss and obesity, exercise, nutrition, and dermatology.
Elham delves into the latest research on these topics, often reading research studies directly to gain more information that will benefit her patients. She has an unmatched passion for helping her patients achieve a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and work toward their goal weight.
Elham earned her Bachelor of Science in biology at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, before studying nursing for a second Bachelor of Science at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. She attended graduate school at South University in Savannah, Georgia, where she received training to become a family nurse practitioner.
When she’s not at any of Virginia Family Medicine’s offices providing in-depth weight-management care for patients of all ages, Elham loves spending time with her family, visiting historical attractions, sailing, hiking, reading, and weight training. She is fluent in English and Farsi.
