Dr. Meko began her higher education at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Following her graduation, she moved to Hanover, New Hampshire, to enroll in Dartmouth Medical School. She then completed her internship training at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, before finishing her formal training with a residency at Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg, near Fayetteville, North Carolina. 

Today, Dr. Meko still strives to keep up with current information in her field with memberships in two esteemed professional associations. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians as well as the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians.
